THURSDAY - JANUARY 29, 2015

• 11:18 am CT AFTER SURGERY UPDATE:

     Better news this morning!  Heather has shown some progress throughout the night! Her EEG report for last night only showed about 4 episodes for the entire night as opposed to the 7-8 per hour on yesterday.  The low drug level of her Depakote was probably a contributor to these episodes.  This morning, we have been able to get the Depakote up to a level that is theraputic for helping to control seizures!  Her breathing has improved and she is doing all of the breathing but at the lowest setting. The plan is that she may possibly come off of the ventilator tomorrow...CONTINUE READING

COME ON HEATHER, "LET'S DO THIS THANG!!"

     Heather has ways of getting herself ready to do a task like standing, or transferring from her wheelchair to the car etc... She often will count 1, 2, 3 before she is ready to stand.  "Let's do this thang," is one of herlittle sayings she will usually say before she can perform that task...Right now, we need her to "Do this thang," of waking and come off of the ventilator...CONTINUE READING

 

TUESDAY- JANUARY 27, 2015

• 9:30 am CT After Surgery UPdate:              

     Thank you so much to everyone who has been praying for us, following the updates, and sharing with others what the Lord is doing!  We know the Lord has heard you, and we have felt His love!!!! 

     Heather had a very peaceful rest last night! She is still sedated from the surgery, and on the breathing machine.  She had to have  a pint of blood this morning, and we are having a little trouble keeping her blood pressure down and she has  a slight fever....CONTINUE READING

    The nurse just phoned and said she would probably be calling us only one more time!! Things are going really smoothly now, and they are almost done with the inside portion of the surgery.  However,  it will take  an additional hour or two to close the incision...CONTINUE READING
 

• 4:30 pm CT Surgery Update:  PLEASE PRAY

     Dr Neimat called at 4:10 pm CT and said it would probly be another 6-7 hours...There was much scarred tissue to cut through because of her previous surgeries, but Heather is doing well. There is more scarring than he expected...CONTINUE READING

     They are still in the progressive state of surgery, and everything is going real smoothly.  Heather is stable and doing well and they believe they have reached the half way mark!  There have been no real issues or complications thus far...CONTINUE READING

• 8:25 am CT  Surgery: 

     Just recieved an update that everything is going well!  The DR. said that everything is going as expected, vital signs are good, etc. Next update from the OR will be in two hours or so...please continue to pray!

 

• 6:10 am CT Arrived & Waiting for SURGERY EARLY MORNING UPDATE:

We have arrived at the Hospital and Heather is in good spirits!!! We all sang scripture songs on the ride to the hospital...surgery only 1hour and 1/2 away...CONTINUE READING
