PRAISE THE LORD! 7:10 pm CT
Almost 11 hours later...the Dr just came out and spoke with all of us who were anxiously awaiting the report! The surgery is now over and they are closing the incision. It will be about 30 minutes before she gets to the ICU floor! He said that opening the incision took a little more time. There was also extra scarring that he didn't anticipate, so they took their time getting everything disconnected. He has been in the OR without a break the entire surgery! He kept expressing that things went very smoothly and very well, and felt very good about the surgery.
We were able to tell him that there have been over 2000 hits to the website today, and he was delighted and amazed to hear of so many praying. He expects that the next few days may be difficult. We have a new family friend!!!!
As we were getting the update ready to post, they just announced that she is in her room and we should be able to see her shortly! PRAISE THE LORD FOR HE IS WORTHY!!!!! The aneisthesiologist just came out and said they will keep Heather intibated through the night in order to give her extra time to wake. She also said that they were able to pull up the website in the OR and were excited to see it and see that others were praying for them and Heather.
