Sunday Update at 9:50 pm CT

I was able to spend the Lord’s day with my sister, Heather, today here at the Rehab Hospital in Nashville, while my mom was able to go back home with my dad, for the first time in four weeks! Our hearts were definitely back home at our Church, but we were still able to have Church here together, what a blessing! We were able to watch some preaching today via the internet, and then we were able to go down to the cafeteria here at Rehab (in a wheelchair) where they have a PIANO!!! Heather and I took turns picking songs, and we sang several of our favorite songs, such as “Lord, You’ve Been Good To Me”, "The God On The Mountain” and many others.

Although no Speech, Occupational or Physical Therapists came in today, Heather and I were able to accomplish some good exercises working together. Her heart rate is still ranging between 100-115, but Praise The Lord its continued to go down! Yes, its been quite a long month, but we can’t begin to complain, because the goodness of the Lord far exceeds the circumstances! I just can’t get over God’s grace and strength that He has given to us each day!

I have watched my sister suffer with her illness of seizures pretty much all my life. Words can’t even be found to describe all of the mixed feelings I have had in regards to the thoughts of Heather and no seizures!!!! You see seizures have always been around since I was only 3. There are feelings of excitement, anxiety, then feelings of sickness in my stomach, and it seems like my heart is in my throat at times, but then I'm reminded that the Lord has healed my sister! We have trusted in His Unseen Hand completely through this whole process!!! He has been so good!!! My parents have been Heather's advocates and I KNOW the Lord entrusted Heather into their care. Instead of getting bitter at God and allowing sickness, disease & seizures to consume them, they have sought to help others through it all, and they have given Christ all the honor and glory through everything that their daughter has been through. Thank you mom and dad for being the very special people that you are!!! Its been a good day!!! Hope your day has been also!

To my sister, Heather, I am so excited to see how the Lord is going to continue to use you!! I have learned so much from you, about waiting on the Lord and trusting Him even when you didn't understand what He was/is doing! You are my HERO!!! It is evident that the Lord loves Heather Cape; He has watched over you so many times!! And this time, He has allowed you the opportunity to live a life without seizures, after over 20 years of constant seizure activity! Thank you for allowing the Lord to get glory for what He's done in your life!!! I love you sis!!! Job 23:10, "But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold."

"The Lord is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him." Exodus 15:2.
