Monday Update at 9:15 pm CT

Nothing much has changed since this afternoon's update. Heather has rested very well today, even with her heart beating so fast. They are continuing to give her the medication that's a beta blocker to help bring it down. Her heart rate has continued fluctuating between 110-120 's even with the medicine. Please pray that there is no underlying cause, and that her brain is just needing the time to regroup since we stirred things up again with the vocal chord surgery, and that the issues she is having with the vagus nerve will be restored as well. They have done a lot of blood work trying to find a cause, but all of the results are not in as of this post.

Since we are back at Vanderbilt, they may try and repeat the swallow test. There is inclement weather here with ice and snow, so many staff were not able to make it in for work. The speech therapist will hopefully be able to be here in the morning. There were concerns that there were seizures again and this could explain the heart rate, however, Heather keeps telling them, "No, I'm not having any seizures."

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him." Psalm 28:7
