Six months seizure-free, several more Dr.'s visits, tests, labs & a huge answer to Heather&#
As you can see and read in this update, life has not slowed down for Heather since we last posted. Tomorrow will mark 6 months since Heather had her last outward seizure and Monday will be 6 months since her left hemispherectomy. She has done remarkably well, but throughout her recovery and during her months of therapy she has continued to have several types of infections, UTI's, etc, which have hindered her from progressing as would someone without these problems. Dr. Khalil was pleased to see how well Heather was doing, but seemed to be disturbed she wasn't progressing as well as he had hoped. We believe she is going to continue to improve with all of her ability's, whether physical, mental or intellectual. She received the answer to her prayer about a red VW bug this week as The Lord allowed us to find and purchase a 2003 red hatchback, one owner, with only 13,400 original miles on it, which had been garage enclosed most of its life. She wept for over an hour after she received it and she kept saying, "I am just overwhelmed!" Thank you to everyone that has given to make this dream of hers to come true. This website continues to be visited by many returning visitors everyday, but the greatest surprise is an average of 44 new users visit this site everyday. Lettering of the website address is being ordered to be placed on the back of Heather's VW to continue to get the the word out of Heather's story.
